The Cursed Mummy Of Tutankhamun aka King Tut — Discovery Of The Tomb
Ancient Egypt means that colorful images of the Nile River, pyramids, pharaohs, mummies, and hieroglyphics float on the screen of the mind. The mysterious mummy-pyramids and the diverse history of the pharaohs have made ancient Egyptian civilization the focus of interest for mystery-thirsty people.
Who is this Tutankhamun or simply King Tut?
Pharaoh Tutankhamun was a king of the 16th dynasty of the Egyptian pharaohs. He was born in Amarana, ancient Egypt, around 1341 BC. In addition to the name Tutankhamun, he was also known as Tutankhamen, Tutankhatun or simply King Tut. Initially, there was controversy over his ancestry, but a DNA test in 2010 proved that his father was Akhenaten. After the death of his father, at the age of eight, he was placed on the throne with the responsibility of running the country. However, his reign was very short (1333 BC - 1323 BC). Only ten years as a year. At the age of just eighteen — as only a teenager he passed away.
Being a king at such a young age, he was also known as a teenage king. A 2010 study found that the king's body was deficient in red blood cells. Mulberry underwent a virtual autopsy in 2014, showing a bone disease in his left leg. In order to maintain the purity of the blood of the pharaohs of that time, their brothers and sisters used to get married. If such a close relative gets married, there is a strong possibility of genetic disease. So whether it was a bone disease or a lack of red blood cells, he died of genetic causes.
Why Tutankhamun So Famous?
Tutankhamun is one of the most famous pharaohs in ancient Egypt. Tutankhamun's gold mask is perhaps the second most used image after the pyramids in the context of ancient Egypt. But not as a heroic tyrant, Tutankhamun became popular in the 'Ancient Egyptian History' section because of his famous curse.

Tutankhamun Tomb Discovery
In 1903, Lord Carnarvon, a wealthy Englishman, was seriously injured in a car accident and went to Cairo, Egypt, to recover. Since Egypt is famous for mummies, pyramids, pharaohs, and various archeological treasures, he started dealing with things as a hobby. A news item through the newspaper caught his eye. Archaeological excavations are underway in the 'Valley of Kings' in Egypt, led by eminent archaeologist Theodore Davis.
Lord Carnarvon had a hobby in his head, and he too would be immortalized in the pages of history by discovering a new antiquity. That's why he contacted the Egyptian government. The government took Carnarvon's interest seriously and introduced him to Howard Carter. At the invitation of Theodore Davis, Howard Carter came to Egypt about ten years ago.
He was overwhelmed by anxiety as work on the Valley of Kings was nearing completion. Because, if you can't get a new job, you won't have food in your stomach. At this time Lord Carnarvon came to him like an angel. Owning a lot of money, he told Carter to start digging anew. He also assured that he would handle the entire cost alone. Earlier in the excavations led by Theodore Davis, Theodore and Carter discovered the existence of some linen inscribed with the name of Pharaoh King Tutankhamun. Carter firmly believed that the teenage emperor Tutankhamun was lying in a gold coffin somewhere in the area. So Carter decided to start digging in the Valley of the Kings. Excavation work began in December 1918.

Five years have passed since then, turning the pages of the calendar, but nowhere does the hadith match Tutankhamun's tomb. Disappointed, Lord Carnarvon said he had no intention of spending any more money on the excavation. But, after many requests, Carter took more than a year from Carnarvon. Work resumed in November 1922. November 4, 10 a.m. One of Carter's workers digs and finds a ladder. The worker spotted something strange and immediately ran to Howard Carter, the head of the excavation team. Quickly getting there, Carter began digging the hole with his team. Carter, digging with excitement, then found a ladder buried under a piece of rock. Which went down step by step.
Tutankhamun Tomb Seal
After removing the large heavy stones from that staircase, a part of the closed door became visible. The seal of the Egyptian royal tomb is clearly visible on the door.
Howard Carter's heart rate increased several times. But has he discovered the much-awaited tomb of Tutankhamun? Staff are eagerly awaiting the first eyewitness account of the time-honored history. But Carter decided he would open it with Lord Carnarvon. That's why he sent a telegram to Carnarvon. As soon as he received the telegram, Carnarvon emigrated to Egypt with his wife and daughter from faraway England. Anyway, history must be a witness!

Tutankhamun Treasure
That long awaited moment came on 29th November. Carter opened the sealed door in front of his excavators, Lord Carnarvon, the Crown Prince of Egypt, senior government officials, and prominent Egyptian figures. That's what you thought. This is the tomb of Tutankhamun! There are endless surprises waiting for Carter inside, innumerable gold, diamonds, jewels and precious gems.
One by one, everyone began to enter Tutankhamun's tomb, and everyone was fascinated by everything. Usually the tombs of the Egyptian pharaoh mummies could not be found intact. The robbers would loot all the gold inside and leave. But the mulberry tomb was an exception. No treasure was lost from it. Because, before Carter, no man could find it. It is said that as soon as Carter entered the tomb, he saw some inscriptions in ancient Egyptian script. Recovering its meaning from hieroglyphic language,
"Curses will fall on him who wakes up the king from his eternal peace."
